HB&E Ltd was established around 100 years ago in the early 1900’s by Fred Holroyd – a stonemason of legendary reputation along with a plumber named Brook and a carpenter named Eagland. All three men were in very high demand locally due to their unrivalled workmanship. The subsequent formation Holroyd & Brook & Eaglands Building Contractors turned out to have been a wise move for these hard working young men.
They were soon to be pursued by the well healed mill owners within the valleys of Huddersfield who demanded that building and maintenance work be done without delay and without fault, the business soon employed a workforce of masons and labourers some 20 strong.
Over the years the business has continued to secure its position and reputation within the Yorkshire region as a reliable, honest and competitive building contractor. Although the business name has become condensed to HB&E Ltd, no compromise has been made to the principals upon which the company owes it success.
It is managed by working directors, two of which are reputable stone masons, and all our trades men are extremely skilled in there perspective professions and committed to delivering nothing but the best quality.
